The first major milestone of the FDR4LDYN project – the Critical Design Review (CDR) – will take place from 7 to 8 May 2025 in Vienna.

Project partners from TU Wien, TU Delft, and ESA will be joined by EUMETSAT to finalise key decisions on the quality assessment, quality control, and ASCAT interoperability of ESCAT data. The meeting will also address the design of the first FDR4LDYN data release, with in-depth discussions on core processing steps such as azimuthal correction, estimated standard deviation, and multiple approaches to slope and curvature calculation.
